If you’re in the mindset of choosing your health over anything else during this new year, I encourage you to join the Better Me in 2023 initiative. This weight loss initiative is aimed at reaching 2, 023 women and girls who want to lose weight to improve their health and combat the risks associated with being overweight or obese.
According to the CDC, a modest weight loss of 5% of a person’s total body weight can improve blood pressure, blood cholesterol, and blood sugars. The higher side of these readings directly impacts a person’s health as in high blood pressure, risk of heart disease, and risk of Type 2 diabetes.
Any woman or girl who is 16 years of age or older (parents consents required) can join in this free, initiative that will provide weekly guidance, accountability, and motivation for those who want to tip the scale in a lighter direction!
What to expect if you join this initiative
- Weight loss counseling You will speak with a certified weight loss specialist who will provide information to help you understand the best strategy to help you shed pounds.
- Guidance Your counselor will calculate the amount of weight you need to lose 5% of total weight and provide a strategic plan to follow.
- Accountability Weight loss coach will provide a schedule for weekly checks of strategic plan
- Resources and Tools Participants will be provided meal plans, easy home/gym workouts, and the opportunity to meet with fitness coaches.
